Движение точки или механической системы, при котором происходят колебания характеризующих его скалярных величин.
Пояснения
Термин «колебания» выражает понятие, выходящее за рамки настоящего стандарта. Он является родовым термином по отношению к терминам «колебания скалярной величины», «механические колебания» и «вибрация», поэтому вместо этих терминов допускается применение термина «колебания».

Датчики подвергают вибрации по трем взаимно перпендикулярным направлениям:
- диапазон частот — 10—55 Гц;
- амплитуда — 1 мм для индуктивных, емкостных и ультразвуковых датчиков, 0,5 мм для фотоэлектрических датчиков;
- продолжительность цикла качания — 5 мин;
- длительность выдержки на частоте резонанса или 55 Гц — 30 мин по каждой оси координат (всего 90 мин).
